Getting Started

Welcome to the GivingData developers portal. Grantmakers of all sizes rely on GivingData as their Grants Management System but often want to share data with other systems in their tech stack. With the help of outside consultants or IT resources, GivingData’s Open APIs allow you to build custom integrations to pull data from GivingData, publish your grants data to your external website, and develop integrations with other systems. 

The Open API is available at Pro and Enterprise. Please get in touch with your Client Success Manager if you are interested in having either turned on.

What APIs are available?

GivingData currently offers to the following sets of APIs:

1. Web Publishing APIs

2. CRM APIs

3. Payments APIs

As of now, GivingData’s Open APIs provide access points for integrating with a CRM system, a finance system, and a website for publishing grant information. Since these integrations are created outside of GivingData, GivingData does not provide any configuration or support assistance other than enabling the APIs, providing limited documentation, and granting the appropriate permissions.
